In those shoes

Do you know what it takes to hold on
To be so strong, try to move on
Through the eyes of one so hurt
Feel the fire burning deep inside
Sorrow sits on you like a ton of iron
You can't breath, it's all so strangling

You can't know what it's like to be
Left broken and cold
Left all alone, now can you
Walk a mile those shoes

Be in a crowd of people feel like only one there
Invisible man, no one can even bother to stare
So unfit for all of these cries so loud at night
Hard to tell what is real now, You live in a different world
Screams so silent the can kill in a instant
Make no mistake of this pain it's the reality forced

You can't know what it's like to be
Left broken and cold
Left all alone, now can you
Walk a mile those shoes

Internal bleeding that can't be seen or healed
Stripped away of everything you once held dear
Not whole any more, we're puzzle pieces on the floor
Scattered around, we can't figure out how to fit together
Chains that bind, we can't break away
Everyday is a new kind of pain, a day in dread

You can't know what it's like to be
Left broken and cold
Left all alone, now can you
Walk a mile those shoes

Sadness sits, it won't quit
You think of nothing of it
You say "Yo're just a wimp"
But you know nothing
Of the stories that have been lived
You haven't been there
You never experienced this type of despair

You can't know what it's like to be
Left broken and cold
Left all alone, now can you
Walk a mile those shoes

Can you do it
Walk in the shoes
Of someone who has been through it
Walk in the shoes
See what it feels like to lose
A mile stride with no one by your side
Even when your surrounded by a world full of people
You'll still feel alone
Walk in your shoes alone

Go ahead
Walk a mile in those shoes
